About Us

Our Mission:

-Increasing financial literacy among high school students through original content: lectures and educational videos covering a wide variety of financial concepts that increase in complexity and interactive market simulations, designed to reinforce lecture content in a fun game.

- Appling our understanding of financial concepts in a student-run fund, investing in real securities and writing detailed research reports.

- Developing an outreach program that provides free access to our educational material and market simulations for any high school student interested in starting their own club.

Who are we?

Colorado Investment Club is a Boulder-based organization dedicated to increasing personal financial literacy rate among high schoolers. We achieve this goal through two ways. First is through our Education Branch where we post educational videos aimed at teaching young adults about financial markets. Addtionally, we also offer free market simulations in which anyone can run. Second is through our Investment Fund, a fund which we setup in March of 2021 with the goal of investing CIC (Colorado Investment Club) member's money into financial markets. Although this branch of the club is aimed for CIC members we post our equity reports, research, and portfolio summary so anyone can follow along with us.

Our History

After developing a market simulation for his high school club and seeing how it changed members understanding of financial markets, Ryan Watts founded the Colorado Investment Club with the goal of sharing his passion and simulations with high schools all over Colorado.
